We proudly welcome all competitors to Clash of the Southwest Strongman/Strongwoman Competition, taking place on 21 June 2026, and wish you the very best of luck on the day.

A Strongman and Strongwoman competition is a strength-based sporting event designed to test an athlete’s power, endurance, and overall physical capability through a series of challenging events. Competitors perform functional strength movements such as lifting, carrying, pulling, and pressing heavy or awkward objects, including logs, stones, yokes, sleds, and farmer’s carries.

Unlike traditional weightlifting, strongman and strongwoman events focus on real-world strength and athleticism, often requiring competitors to move loads over distances or complete repetitions within a time limit. The competition is typically divided into weight or experience classes, making it accessible to both first-time competitors and seasoned athletes, and it celebrates strength, resilience, and community support across all levels.
